About Me
I am a 33-year old female. I use the screen name
"Heron by
the Sea" because I love the sight of the beautiful herons that I
have seen while vacationing in the Myrtle Beach area.
I
don't like to give my name out to just anyone so I use that name.
I have a bachelor's degree from West Virginia University in Religious
Studies. I also have a Bachelor's degree from Marshall
University
in French and Spanish Education (5-12). I earned my degree at
WVU
in May 2007. I was so busy my last semester that I hadn't had
a
chance to celebrate my birthday, which was in March. So after
I
had finally gotten finished with everything school-related, one of my
best friends and I finally celebrated my birthday in June! My
gift was a Webkinz Chihuahua. I had never heard of Webkinz,
so I
thought it was just a cute chihuahua and didn't understand why my
friend's little girl kept excitedly telling me that "It's a Webkinz!"
It didn't take long for me to figure out what all the
excitement
was about! I have always loved stuffed animals. Due
to
allergies, I was never able to own a dog or cat or anything, so I
collected stuffed animals. I especially love collies, and
have
quite a collection of stuffed collies. So I of course fell in
love with Webkinz, where my stuffed animals could "come alive"!
I
loved everything about the site - the games, the decorating, the
trivia, etc.
My last semester of college was particularly stressful for me.
I
love Religious Studies, and I loved every class that I had in that
field, but by the time I graduated, I was so burnt out that I just
needed to get away from anything too studious for awhile, I suppose.
So Webkinz came in at just the right time! It was
like a
much-needed vacation.
I am so glad I found Webkinz. I suffer from clinical
depression
("Bipolar II") and Webkinz is a relaxing and happy hobby for me.
It is so sweet and innocent, and it brings a smile to my face
every time I see those adorable little pets greet me! I have
had
a terrible struggle with depression, and this is why I have fallen
behind on updating my website and answering my email sometimes.
When you are depressed it takes all you have to get up in the
morning. So any energy I have, I need to use it to go to work
so
I can pay my bills. By the time I am finished with that, I am
so
exhausted that I can't do extra things like update my website!
I
think that I am doing some better, and I hope that the visitors to my
site will be patient with me and understand. So far, everyone
has
been very understanding, and I appreciate that.

Please tell them
that flutterby108
referred you!
