Frequently Asked Questions

Before emailing me, check to see if I have answered your question here.  If not, feel free to contact me, but please be patient as I get a lot of email and it can be hard for one person to keep up with it all.

Do you work for Webkinz or Ganz?
No, I wish!  I'm just a fan of Webkinz who enjoys sharing my room ideas and other information about Webkinz.  I have no more ability to contact or persuade Ganz than anyone else.  ;-)

Where did you get that item!?
People often want to know where I got a particular item in one of my Webkinz rooms.  It's fine to ask, but I thought I would mention a few of the commonly asked about ones here.
The "Cabin" Wallpaper:  It's called the "Below Decks Wallpaper" and you can only get it from Arte at the Curio Shop.  It's not all that rare, so keep checking and you're bound to stumble across it eventually.  Remember that Arte changes his selection every hour.
The Wagon-Wheel Furniture:  This is the country or farm theme that is only available in the Curio Shop.  Like the Below Decks Paper, it's not too rare.
Outfits:  Some of them are Kinzstyle.  Those are the ones that you get when you purchase an actual Webkinz outfit for your plush.  Those come with a code, and it gives you a virtual version of the outfit, plus a Kinzstyle shopping bag, where you can buy an extra outfit for your pet for kinzcash.  The little red dress with green lining was a Christmas outfit that was available in the W-Shop for only a limited time during the holidays.
Elegant Swan Bed (in Sniffles' room):  You have to get this from Arte at the Curio Shop.  It's very rare.
Classic Gaming Theme (in Lakota's room):  This is only available through Trading Cards Series 1.  You CAN purchase the wallpaper and flooring from the Curio Shop, but the rest has to be gotten with trading card feature codes.
The Red Jukebox:  This is a very rare item that you can only get from Arte at the Curio Shop.

Can you send me something through Kinzpost?
Please do not email me asking me to send you something for no reason at all!  The expression is, "Give and you will receive," NOT "Beg and you will receive."  Seriously though, I cannot give something to everyone who asks, because if I did, I would have nothing left.  And if I gave to one person who asked I would have to give to everyone, and I just don't have enough things to do that.  I hope you understand.

How old are you?
I am 33 years old!  See my About Me page.

Is your name Shela or Heron?
My name is not Shela, although I understand why many people think that, since my website is called Happy Shela.  Shela is a holiday I made up (see http://www.happyshela.com for the explanation).  My name is not Heron either!  That is just a screen name I use.  You can call me either one though, I'll know who you mean.  ;-)

How can I make a website like yours?
I had to pay for this website.  I bought a website to put my college research papers on, at http://www.pathsofdevotion.com/ and when I purchased that website, I had the option of buying an additional site for only $10.  That was quite a bargain, so I bought this site, www.happyshela.com to put personal and miscellaneous things on.  This is where I am of course putting my webkinz page.  I use a free program called Nvu to build my pages.  I am not an expert at building webpages, by any stretch of the imagination!

There are plenty of websites out there, however, which will allow you to build your own webpage for FREE!  Here are some that I am aware of:

http://geocities.yahoo.com/
http://www.wetpaint.com/

I love Questia!
Please tell them that flutterby108 sent you, so I can get my referral credit.  Thanks!
