What's New On My Website
- I have been sick the past few days, and have not been able to keep up very well with my website. I am also behind on my email, so if you have emailed me, please know that I will get to it as soon as I can.
- There is a new room design contest! This time, it will be Webkinz Kitchens! The winner will receive the exclusive Rockin' Robot Digital Clock, and the runner-up will receive an Oak-Paneled Pool.
- I have put up more photos of my Plush Webkinz, and you can see them on the images page. I have all the pictures up except for my Black Lab, and the Panda. I took their pictures, but the pictures were so blurry, they didn't do justice to my pets!
- I have redone the front page, hopefully making it more organized, so that you can find what you are looking for more easily.
According to http://www.webkinzinsider.com/ some lucky person in Ontario has found and successfully adopted a Webkinz Collie! Needless to say, I am thrilled about this! I have been looking every day on my porch hoping that my collie has come home! It surely won't be too much longer. Besides the collie, the Webkinz Penguin is also out in some places. It is very cute, and apparently, Webkinz has decided to release both the regular and lil' kinz at the same time for this one!
Gardening For Profit - To Water, or Not to Water
I have 4 yards full of plants now which I am harvesting for profit. Three are full of strawberries, and one is full of carrots. I had been raking and watering them all daily. Many people say that you do not have to water them at all, as long as you remember to rake the ones that need raked every day. I wondered if this would make a difference in how many strawberries or carrots the crops turned out. I have 2 strawberry patches which get harvested on the same day, so I did an experiment. From the beginning of the cycle, I watered one, and the other I only raked. The one which I did not water needed a lot more raking. But it did still grow at the same rate, and I was able to harvest many strawberries. There was a slight difference however. The watered garden yielded 3.01 strawberries per plant, while the unwatered one only yielded 2.84 strawberries per plant. This could be a normal variation, so I would have to continue the experiment for a few more cycles to know for sure if there is really a difference. To most people, even if there is a slight difference, the difference is not enough to matter too much. So my advice is, if you are thinking of planting a garden for profit, but watering it every day seems daunting to you, then go ahead and plant one, and just rake! This doesn't take too much time, even when the unwatered ones require more raking.
My Latest Acquisition! A Pink Cadillac!
I am so proud of this pink cadillac! I took it on trade! It is the Pet Special Item for the Pink Poodle. Look how it exactly matches the cadillac in The Fabulous Fifties poster! I hadn't realized until I got it that it was the same one in that poster. When I realized that, I decided it MUST go in my diner, right under the poster! ;-)
More Fun Glitches in Webkinz World!
So Many New Features of Webkinz World!
Webkinz has been adding so many features, that it's getting hard to keep up with! Already since I lasted posted the Heron Herald, two new classes have been added to the Kinzville Academy: The Language Class, and the Style Class. The Style Class is so cute. I love how that little poodle struts down the aisle! How cute! I like the language class too, because I am good with language. But it can be a bit tricky, even on level one. I imagine the higher levels may be a bit of a challenge. New clothes have been added! I LOVE them! There are the academy clothes, and now some new Fall clothes. I love the moccasins! And I am thrilled to see that we can finally have skirts and dresses without having to pay money to go to the Kinzstyle Shop.
My New Hobby - Trading!
I have gotten into trading Webkinz items, and it is very exciting! I never did this before because I was always afraid of getting scammed. But I have found a forum that provides a safe way to trade at one of my favorite websites, http://www.webkinzinsider.com. It is also being rumored that Webkinz is coming up with their own way to allow us to trade safely. There is a lot to trading, I have found out. The values really shocked me. I can't believe how much some people are willing to give up for an item that I did not think was worth very much. I like learning about the values of all the items. It can be a lot of fun! And you can really get the exclusives you like the best this way. I will not be trading outside of the Webkinz Insider forum, except with my real-life friends, so if you have something you would like to trade with me, you must become a member of that forum. It is just too confusing to do outside trading when I have to keep my Gift Exchange List up-to-date.
